USE STRIPPER CLIPS FOR FASTEST LOADING. IT’S EASY TOO, IF DONE RIGHT. |
|
The US stripper clip system is one of the finest
in the world and allows fast and easy magazine loading
if done properly. It is extremely durable and well made.

The typical image given for use of these stripper clips is to
push down on the top cartridge with the thumb to force the rounds
into the magazine. This method is unnecessarily difficult and painful.
Instead, place the loaded clip in the spoon on the magazine, put the top
cartridge against something like a table edge with the stripper clip very
close to the top of the table, and use the magazine as a handle to push the
rounds into the magazine. Most of the force should be on the part of the
cartridge closest to the stripper clip. Out in the field, the front part of
the magazine in the rifle or the butt-plate of the stock can be used in the
same way if nothing else is available. Be sure the cartridge contact area is
clean, and whichever method you use, be sure to end the push gently.
A forceful impact on the surface used to push the rounds could damage
the magazine lips. |
